Encana Ramps up Activity in the Permian Basin

Texas O&G Report - 06/12/18

Texas Intents to Drill

  • Encana has been aggressively filing permits in the Permian the last couple of weeks. Expect additional growth in the third quarter as they take advantage of their unique position and continue to improve operational efficiency.

  • Exxon Mobil and Plains All American have announced a new pipeline that they hope will allow for more production to be transported out of the Basin in the near future. The increasing number of intents to drill filed here signal that operators have no intention of slowing down activity in the Permian anytime soon!

Texas Frac Jobs

  • Using OseFrac we were able to map Concho Resources and RSP Permian’s activity since the beginning of 2018. Why both? With Concho’s recent acquisition of RSP, it  has positioned itself for long term success and become one of the top players in the basin.
